Join Shawn Cornelison for a 16 hour experiential training that focuses on Yoga & Mental Health. In these unprecedented times, many of us are experiencing heightened levels of anxiety and/or depression. Fortunately within the 8 limbs of yoga – which includes things like yoga asana, breathing techniques and meditation practices – we can find many ways to help balance our minds, emotions and bodies. This workshop is designed to provide and practice tools that can be used to manage mood through the use of breath, stillness and movement. This is an experiential workshop with discussion, tutorial and plenty of time to practice. Yoga for Mental Health is appropriate for teachers who want to get a better handle on using yogic techniques to regulate mood for the students in their classes, as well as yoga students who want the opportunity to practice with the tools and apply them to their own lives. Some Yoga experience is preferable, but not required. Yoga Alliance CEU’s are available.
