Roll and Restore

Roll and Restore: A Relaxation Journey

Explore rest through the complementary practices of myofascial release, gentle movement, and restorative yoga with Becky Bartolick.

We will begin by using therapy balls to apply slow, focused pressure to areas of tension throughout the body. This practice, known as myofascial release, works with the connective tissue that surrounds and supports the muscles. While stretching can help relieve muscular tightness, the fascia sometimes benefits from more direct pressure to encourage release, improve mobility, and reduce unnecessary tension.

After rolling, we will move through a gentle yoga flow designed to help the body integrate the effects of the self-massage practice. The workshop will conclude with a series of long-held restorative postures using blankets, bolsters, and other supportive props.

Both myofascial release and restorative yoga can help signal to the nervous system that it is safe to soften. By placing the body in comfortable, supported positions and bringing gentle attention to the breath, we create the conditions for deeper relaxation, improved circulation, and reduced muscular tension.

In This Workshop, We’ll Explore:
  • Self-massage techniques using therapy balls
  • Myofascial release for the back, shoulders, chest, hips, and glutes
  • Gentle yoga postures to support mobility and integration
  • Long-held restorative poses supported by props
  • Practices that encourage relaxation and nervous system regulation

This workshop is especially beneficial for athletes, anyone experiencing tightness or limited mobility, and those simply looking for an opportunity to slow down and rest.

No previous yoga or myofascial release experience is necessary. Therapy balls and all supportive props will be provided.

Becky Bartolick

It didn’t take long for Becky to realize she wanted to become a yoga teacher.

She began her yoga journey as a student in 2017 and returned to it in 2021 as an aspiring teacher, using the practice as a way to manage the stress of balancing work and life. Through life’s ups and downs, a full-time job, and multiple hobbies, yoga has remained something she can consistently rely on. Experiencing how her practice has supported her physically, spiritually, and emotionally inspired Becky to share yoga with others.

As a teacher, Becky believes yoga is for everyone. Her classes offer simple, full-body sequences designed to help students connect with their breath and movement. She encourages students to listen to their own bodies as their guide and choose variations that best support their individual needs.

Off the mat, Becky enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and learning to garden.
