Herbal & Nutritional Services
Nutrition and herbal medicine comprise two of the eight branches of Chinese medicine, and they are particularly important because what you consume on a daily basis shapes and influences your body, mind, and spirit in a very real and enduring way.
To that end, your initial visit will involve an extensive conversation with Meghan about diet and the factors that impact it – stress, emotions, timing, etc – as well as supplement and medication usage, exercise, sleep, stress, and of course, any health conditions you want to address. This thorough dialogue about where you’re coming from and where you want to go with your health helps guide Meghan’s assessment, which, coupled with a few simple diagnostic practices such as feeling your pulse and looking at your tongue, informs your customized herbal and nutrition strategy.
A firm believer in using what is most accessible first, Meghan’s recommendations may focus primarily on nutrition therapy initially, providing guidance for eating optimally, which may account for:
• Individual constitution
• Past or present health conditions
• Lifestyle factors such as activity levels, stress levels, occupational considerations etc
For those wanting assistance navigating slightly more complex situations, or those simply intrigued by Chinese herbs, Meghan will prescribe herbal medicine, which may take the form of pre-made patent formulations or customized powder herbal preparations, depending on your unique circumstances.
Initial consultations last approximately 60 minutes; follow up check-in’s last approximately 30 minutes. Prices do not reflect the cost of herbs.
Initial consult = $100
Follow Up = $50
Meghan’s Hours = Mondays 9:00am-3:00pm; Thursdays 12:00pm-7:00pm
Having suffered from anxiety, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, and skin problems throughout my adolescence and twenties, I first sought out acupuncture as a last ditch effort to salvage some semblance of health and sanity during a particularly stressful period in my life. It worked. Remarkably well. So palpable was the influence of acupuncture on my well being that I was compelled to leave a career in advertising to study Chinese medicine so that I could help others benefit from its effects.
Years of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears later, I’ve earned a masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture (now part of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences) and a masters degree in Pain Research, Education, and Policy from Tufts University Medical School. In my clinical practice I integrate what I’ve learned from both Eastern and Western perspectives to provide treatments unique to each patient’s needs, and endeavor to empower patients to move forward on their paths to not just feeling good, but feeling like their true selves. In addition to my work as a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, I serve as adjunct faculty at MCPHS and work as a yoga teacher and holistic health coach. Jenn Kelly is a 2009 graduate of a 900 hour program at the Cortiva Muscular Therapy Institute, obtained her National certification in 2010 and her Pediatric Certification in 2016. She also has an Associate’s Degree in Studio Art and Early Childhood Education.
Throughout her 9 years of practice Jenn has worked with many different populations, which include athletes, geriatrics, victims of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, special needs, the LGBTQ community as well as infants and children.
Jenn was first introduced to massage while going through a difficult period in her life. During a time filled with lots of stress and anxiety a good friend gave her a gift certificate for a massage. It was during this session she realized the true power of touch for healing and so her journey began.
“There is nothing more satisfying than being able to give the gift of calm and grounding to others.”
Her artistic self sees therapeutic massage as an art, in which she molds and shapes her client’s muscles back to their original form and function.
“I view every massage session as a way to reconcile with our bodies. The true definition of the word reconcile is to restore to friendship or harmony. The hustle and bustle of life can leave each of us mentally drained and physically exhausted. Our relationship with our body tends to be neglected as our mind and energies are used up daily on other people and their needs. It is my goal, as a massage therapist, to provide each of my clients the opportunity to take care of their body and restore harmony and balance within themselves”
“With the modalities that I have learned throughout the years I tend to describe my style as a “mixed bag” which includes, myofascial release, neuromuscular/trigger point therapy, deep tissue and Swedish massage. Each session will begin with a chat and body/mind intake. That way each client receives a unique, personalized session based on their present needs”.

“The master therapist is real, calm, nonjudgmental, intelligent, sensitive, strong yet flexible, supportive, compassionate, empathetic and joyful.” – John Barnes

Allison Jones is a Reiki II practitioner trained by Elise Brenner of Brenner Reiki Healing in 2013. Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that involves the laying on of hands in order to help facilitate the movement and health of life force energy. Life force energy can become weak resulting in physical and/or emotional illness. Sometimes the energy gets stuck or blocked inhibiting a free flow and optimal vitality. Reiki treatments can help stimulate the relaxation response and help the yogi’s body, mind and spirit come into balance. During reiki treatments, the yogi will lie on a massage table in a cozy candlelit room with optional aromatherapy and soothing music.
