Maintaining a Sustainable Yoga Practice in a Busy Modern World
With Rachel Bradford
You leave an inspiring yoga class or training feeling grounded, calm, and connected. Then life resumes. Dinner needs to be made, emails need answering, children need attention, the dog needs walking, and tomorrow’s responsibilities are already waiting. Somewhere along the way, the intention to practice more quietly disappears.
Practice Beyond the Mat explores how yoga can become something we live, not simply something we attend.
Rather than treating practice as another obligation, this 90-minute workshop will help you develop a more flexible, restful, and compassionate relationship with yoga. Together, we will reconsider what it means to have a practice, examine the stories and expectations that make consistency difficult, and explore realistic ways to bring yoga into everyday life.
Participants will be invited to create their own definition of a meaningful practice, one that can adapt to changing schedules, responsibilities, energy levels, and seasons of life.
In This Workshop, We’ll Explore:
- What having a yoga practice can mean beyond attending class
- The expectations and stories that interrupt consistency
- Choosing consistency over intensity
- Rest as an essential part of practice
- Practical ways to incorporate yoga into daily life
- Creating an individual and sustainable definition of success
- Participants will leave with personalized tools for cultivating a yoga practice that feels adaptable, supportive, and meaningful.
This workshop is open to yoga practitioners of all levels and yoga teachers who would like to develop a more sustainable relationship with their own practice.
