Our creativity is our aliveness, our life force, our energetic flow, & the way our heart expresses itself in the world. And, it can often become blocked or buried by stuck emotions and an overactive mind. This Breathwork workshop will be devoted to clearing, cleansing, and reconnecting through mindfulness breathing so our hearts and minds work as one. When we are more aligned, self expression in life will feel much more natural.
WHAT IS BREATHWORK?
Breathwork is an active form of Meditation and Somatic healing practice. It uses a three-part rhythmic breathing pattern that quickly quiets our more dominant “thinking” mind and helps cleanse the body and nervous system of emotional and energetic blockages so we can be more present in our daily lives. When we bring mindfulness and purpose to breathing it can re-center and ground your body fast. It is an experience that feels like returning home and is exactly what we all need right now. By the end, we will feel recharged and renewed to start our week fresh.
BENEFITS OF BREATHWORK:
After a session, people often feel some combination of clarity, calmness, connection to themselves and others, compassion, forgiveness, grounded-ness, enlivened, and/or creatively inspired. Sometimes the emotional energy continues to unwind for hours or several days afterward.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
We will start the workshop together by doing a brief guided meditation and then checking in about whatever it is that inspired you to decide to come. What are areas in your life you are ready to let go of and/or areas that you want to strengthen and grow? Afterward, Tara will speak about the benefits of Breathwork and teach the breathing pattern to make sure everyone is comfortable. You do not need previous Breathwork experience.
The breathing practice is all lying down and will be around 45 minutes in total, with 30 minutes of the active-breath followed by 10-15 minutes of rest and integration. During the breathing practice, Tara will provide guidance to help you move past resistance, stay focused on your breath, and clear and release anything that comes up. This is all set to music specifically curated for this breathwork session.

Pre-registration is required for this event. This workshop is suitable for all levels. Please bring your own yoga mat and bottle of water.
