Take your yoga practice off the mat and into nature! Wonder Yoga is very excited to partner with Guineafowl Adventure Company to offer a guided hiking experience. Join us on Sunday, May 5th for a beginner’s hike on Mount Crawford in New Hampshire. A terrific non-4,000 foot hike that gives you views of Mount Isolation, Mount Washington and Wildcat to the north as well as sweeping views to the south of several other prominent peaks all from various points above treeline. The only hike on our ‘easy’ list that has a river crossing, but it is easily passable in all seasons!
Guineafowl Adventure Company provides full-service, end-to-end small group hiking experiences. This hike has limited spots available. We will meet at Wonder Yoga on Sunday, May 5th at 6am and travel together by van to our hiking destination.
How to Prepare
- Check (and double check) the weather. Forecasts in the mountains change in mere minutes. Check the forecast the night before, then check it again before you leave home. Grab an extra layer or jacket just in case.
- Choose the right clothes. Light layers, taller socks, a hat, and a water-resistant shell are our go-to options. Our guides are available to offer suggestions or answer questions, but everyone’s tolerance for temperature and precipitation is different.
- Wear sturdy shoes, and bring an extra pair for the drive to and from. Good trail shoes are non-negotiable– plan to wear well-fitted, durable soled shoes. Trust us, comfortable shoes will make the day far more enjoyable.
- Pack a positive attitude. Hiking in the White Mountains isn’t always easy, but it’s worth the effort. If hikers are prepared with a can-do mindset, every hike is an unforgettable adventure.
Everything else will be provided for you- packs, hydration, snacks, poles, snowshoes and/or spikes.
This excursion will take, including drive time, about eight hours from beginning to end.
