Yin Yoga Training

April 1, 2026Wonder Yoga

Slow down. Go deeper. Change how you understand the body.

Most yoga is built around movement and muscle. …Yin is different.

In this training, you will learn how to work with the deeper layers of the body including fascia, ligaments, joints, and the nervous system. You will explore how time, stillness, and appropriate stress create real change in mobility, resilience, and awareness.

This is not about doing more. It is about doing less with more precision.

What you’ll learn

Foundations of Yin Yoga
  • What makes yin different from other styles
  • Why time is the primary driver of change
  • How to work with stillness instead of avoiding it
Functional anatomy
  • How connective tissue adapts
  • Tension vs compression and why it matters
  • Why no pose has a universal “correct” shape
Meridian theory and the energetic body
  • Introduction to meridians through Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • How energy pathways inform sequencing and intention
Teaching methodology
  • How to safely enter, hold, and exit poses
  • How to cue without over-instructing
  • How to help students distinguish sensation from pain
Sequencing
  • How to build balanced yin classes
  • How to target different areas of the body intentionally
  • How to structure a class that actually works over time

What makes this training worth your time

Most yin trainings stay conceptual.

This one is practical.

You will:

  • Practice long holds and understand what changes over time
  • Teach and receive feedback
  • Learn how to adjust for different bodies, not ideal shapes

If you cannot apply it immediately, the training failed. This is built to avoid that.

What you’ll receive

  • Workbook for ongoing reference
  • Yin posture cards for sequencing
  • Instructional videos for continued learning

Who this is for

  • Yoga teachers who want depth beyond flow
  • Students who want to improve mobility and joint health
  • Anyone interested in a slower, more sustainable practice

No prior yin experience required.

WHAT TO BRING:
  • Yoga Mat
  • Water
  • Blanket

Pre-registration is required for this certifications. This training is suitable for all levels.

*Tuition becomes nonrefundable and non transferable within seven days of this workshop.
