The Yoga of Wonder and Awe

July 20, 2025Wonder Yoga

The Yoga of Wonder and Awe: Experience Your True Aliveness with the Rasas & Become a Connoisseur of Life

With internationally acclaimed yoga teacher, author, musician, and founder of Ashaya Yoga!

Todd Norian

Arlington, MA, October 4-5, 2025, Wonder Yoga Studio

All great masters describe enlightenment as seeing with the eyes of a child — with wonder and awe. To be fully present in the moment, without judgment, expectation, or commentary, is true presence. In Tantra, this presence requires deep surrender and the acceptance of what is.

Reconnect. Realign. Rise.

In an unpredictable world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or off-center. But within you lies a deep reservoir of strength, resilience, and wisdom. This retreat is your opportunity to reconnect with that core, quiet the mind, and come home to yourself.

“When you taste the rasa of life, you drink from a well that is never dry.” — Ramachandra Gandhi

Through the ancient Tantric teachings of the rasas, you’ll tap into the insight and energy needed to stay grounded, empowered, and clear — no matter what life throws your way.

Led by internationally acclaimed teacher Todd Norian, this immersive weekend offers a full-spectrum journey of self-discovery, healing, and joyful expression.

What You’ll Gain

Mentally: Clear your mind, release self-doubt, and reconnect to your purpose
Physically: Build strength, flexibility, and vibrant energy
Spiritually: Open your heart, ground your energy, and awaken your inner light

What’s Included

  • Alignment Yoga: Gentle yet powerful practices to activate and balance body, mind, and heart. Rooted in Ashaya Yoga, these therapeutic, alignment-based classes are suitable for all levels.
  • Mantras: Sacred live music, chanting, and invocations for healing
  • Rasa Theory: Rasa means “taste,” “flavor,” or “juice” — the richness of life when you’re fully present. You’ll explore the Rasa Mandala, the circle of nine rasas that reflect the full range of human emotion. Adbhuta (wonder) is one of these rasas. Awesomeness is about experiencing something breathtakingly beautiful and living with joy and authenticity.
  • Meditation & Yoga Nidra: Deep rest, renewal, and spiritual connection
  • Hands-On Support: Optional expert adjustments to enhance your practice
  • You can experience this sense of awe every day simply by being present, when your mind is clear and unburdened by the small stuff.

Whether you’re new to yoga or a lifelong student, this weekend will leave you recharged, inspired, and deeply supported.

Individual Session Descriptions

Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Wonder and Awe
Yoga teaches that the miracle of life hides in plain sight, yet conditioning blinds us to it. This session invites you to release what no longer serves you and rediscover life with curiosity, wonder, and awe. Through alignment yoga, mantra chanting, pranayama, meditation, and deep relaxation, you’ll return to your heart. Poses for all levels include standing poses, hip openers, backbends, and twists.

Saturday 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
From Victim to Victory with Virya (Courage)
How do we break free from beliefs of unworthiness and smallness? Is life happening to you, or for you? Explore the rasas through yoga to shift your perspective and rise strong. Includes hip openers, leg stretches, mantra, pranayama, meditation, and Yoga Nidra.

Sunday 12:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Rasa Dhvani: Become the Connoisseur of Life
Rasa dhvani is a deep state of harmony in body, mind, and heart. When the rasas are balanced, life feels full and aligned. This session focuses on Srngara (love), supported by Shanta (peace) and Hasya (joy). Includes yoga, chanting, pranayama, meditation, relaxation, and group integration. Poses for all levels include warmups, standing poses, hip openers, backbends, forward bends, and twists.
