Program Description

Take your practice and teaching to the next level with Wonder Yoga’s 300-hour teacher training program, an advanced teacher training that provides additional tools to add to your teaching repertoire. The 300-hour TT includes a wide range of topics and modules to help you become a teacher with a vast array of knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience that translates to more effective classes, workshops and private lessons, and helping you to make an even bigger impact in your clients’ and students’ lives.

Wonder Yoga’s 300-hour TT program is perfect for those who don’t want to teach yoga, but want to dive deeper into their knowledge and experience of yoga’s 8 limbs, different styles of yoga, svadhyaya (self-study), and personal growth.

This program blends 165 live hours, pre-recorded videos, two weekly in-person classes with any of the instructors in our training, teaching  community classes, creating a workshop or series of your own, and roughly 30 hours of homework.

Wonder Yoga’s 300-hour TT program is certified by Yoga Alliance and comprises 270 contact hours.   Below are unique features to this program:

  • In order to create a personalized experience for students, the incoming class of yogis is limited to four students.
  • Direct supervision and mentorship with a senior teacher.
  • Opportunities to shadow a weekly class, teach community classes, and assist classes at our studio throughout the year.
  • Opportunities to develop your own workshop or series that will be run through Wonder Yoga.
  • Students will be encouraged to maintain a regular yoga practice by attending a minimum of 2 classes per week as it is our believe that it is vital to keep up your own yoga practice while taking the teacher training and also afterwards if you’re teaching yoga.
  • Practicing yoga is essential for informing your teaching and keeping your passion alive.

The 300-hour TT program features modules on yoga philosophy, history and lifestyle; yoga anatomy; smart and creative sequencing, verbal cues, modifications; chakras and energetics; pranayama; functional movement; teaching methodology; ethics of teaching yoga; meditation; hands on assists; teaching workshops and private yoga lessons; and building your yoga business and more.  Students will be paired with a faculty member who will provide supervision and mentorship throughout the program.

This program includes the following modules:

  • Yin Yoga
  • Yoga & Ayurveda
  • Yoga Nidra
  • Meridian Yoga
  • Chair Yoga
  • Yoga Anatomy
  • Functional Movement
  • The History + Philosophy of Yoga
  • Yoga Ethics

Students are required to maintain their own practice by attending weekly classes as it is our believe that it is vital to keep up your own yoga practice as this directly informs your teaching and helps to keep your passion alive.

A 200-hour TT yoga certification is a pre-requisite for 300-hour TT yoga certification. Upon completion of Wonder Yoga’s program, you will be certified at the 500-hour level with Yoga Alliance. You will grow, be challenged and supported to find your voice, and lead with your most authentic self.

What People Say About Our Program

Go here! Nicole has built something special at Wonder Yoga. I was lucky enough to be a part of her amazing 200 hr teacher program in the fall of 2021, and I have nothing but good things to say about it. Her thoughtful practices, knowledgeable teaching, and keen sense of inclusion and social justice changed my views on yoga in a powerful way. The space she created became sacred in our second year of the pandemic. She took every precaution and consideration to mind in meeting each person where they were at. If you're debating taking a class or becoming a part of the community, think no more! WONDERful studio here.

The 200-hour YTT at Wonder Yoga was a life-altering experience for me. As someone who has had an asana practice for decades, it was eye-opening to discover that I really had very little knowledge about the true meaning of yoga. Now, I have an expanded practice that encompasses philosophy, meditation, pranayama, yoga therapy, and much more. Yet, I realize I am still only at the beginning and I start every day excited to uncover something new related to yoga. Nicole Siegel is a gifted and accessible instructor and brings an enormous amount of experience and compassion to the classroom. Her guest teachers are experts in their respective fields and are a pleasure to work with as well. As a result of the broad learning experience I had with the team at Wonder Yoga, I have found a lifelong pursuit that I never expected. I highly recommend the 200 hour YTT experience at Wonder Yoga for anyone who wants to become a yoga teacher or just wants to expand their own practice. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner!

I can not say enough positive things about the teacher training and Nicole Siegel, the lead instructor and owner of the Wonder Yoga studio. I learned so much from every aspect of the program. I especially liked the functional movement portion as it really was about instructing and supporting longevity in the asana practice. All of the homework was very thought provoking and enhanced my learning experience. I also learned a lot from the asana videos (that were in addition to the instruction of the asanas during class time) and will value having them to review when I want a refresher on best alignment for certain asanas.

Marca Katz

RYT 500

Marca came to yoga 12 years ago during a time when she was training for marathons, teaching step classes, and raising her 3 sons. Feeling a need for something with less impact but no less challenging, she was initially lured by the physical aspects of yoga, but kept returning to her mat as she experienced the many other benefits yoga brought into her life. Wanting to share this gift with others, she completed a 200-hour teacher training at Down Under School of Yoga in Newton/Brookline with Kate Heffernan and Natasha Rizopolous, and a 300-hour training at The Boston Yoga School with Ame Wren. Her background includes degrees in nursing and exercise physiology, both of which have helped to inform her practice and teaching. Her classes are alignment based, intelligently and creatively sequenced, and rooted in breath and flow. She encourages her students to honor their own unique bodies, tune in to their inner voice, and practice in a safe and gentle way, on and off their mat.

Amanda Vallimont

RYT 500
Image of Amanda Vallimont, teacher and instructor. To me, yoga is more than just a sequence of poses. It is a way of life. I initially started practicing because I heard it was a great way to build strength and become more flexible. I found those things and much more. What I gained was greater peace of mind, a tool to manage anxiety, a sense of well being, a supportive community, increased self confidence, connection with others, joy in vulnerability, and a profound spiritual practice. Yoga unites and connects. It meets us in our struggles and amplifies what is going right in our lives while giving us strength to handle what isn’t. It is a source of calm in a chaotic world. My goal is for my classes to challenge you and lift you up. I will ask you to look within yourself for truth and to your neighbor for support. I will lead you through breath, strong poses, and graceful movements, so you can then sit and hear the quiet wisdom of your own mind.

I completed my 200 hour training with Rolf Gates in 2014 and my 300 hour training with Jacqui Bonwell in 2018. I am certified to teach Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Meditation. I also have some additional certifications – Balanced Athlete Level 1 and Reiki Level 1 – which further inform my yoga instruction. When I am not on the mat or in the studio I am an enthusiastic sticker collector, a high school administrator, and mama to a yogi in the making.

Katie Concannon

Shortly after starting my corporate career about 15 years, I also found my yoga practice and now I have no idea what I would do without it. Yoga grounds me, it is the way I connect to myself and how I am able to live in relationship to others. When I decided to sign up for teacher training I had no intentions of teaching any public classes. I have a demanding job in tech and never thought I would find the time. It was strictly to deepen my personal practice and connect more with my local yoga community. Once I graduated I realized there was no way I could not share this knowledge with others and I began my teaching career. Since then the desire for deeper knowledge and training only became louder.

I have been experimenting with holistic and alternative medicines and diets since I was a teenager. I was on a constant search for the lifestyle guidelines that made sense to me and my body. I tried them all! When I found Ayurveda through my yoga community I knew my experimenting days were over. This science is based on the innate knowledge that is already within us that we simply need to tune in to. It was exactly what I was always searching for! My studying began with reading and going to lectures on my own, beginning my daily routines, trying a seasonal cleanse, noticing how my environment impacted my body and my mind. Once I was able to enroll in the Down Under Ayurveda School things really changed for me. I first enrolled in 2017 in the 200 hr Ayurveda Fundamentals Program and upon completion immediately signed up for the 650hr Ayurveda Health Counselor Program. It is the first of its kind at the Down Under School and a privilege to be a part of. Learning how to take better care of myself and help those around me has been the most exciting and inspiring shift in my life. As I begin to build up my clientele and spread the teachings of Ayurveda to others, I know I am doing exactly what I am meant to be doing and where I am supposed to be. I am grateful for each day I get to bring the combination of Yoga and Ayurveda into peoples lives. This will never feel like a job!
