Join Gabby for a 90 minute workshop focused on mudras. Mudras are ancient healing hand gestures and sanskrit for “seal” or “lock”. Also known as “yoga for the hands”, mudras are gestures or positioning of the hands practiced to awaken and direct energy so as to achieve profound states of awareness, relaxation, and inner stability. Through these hand gestures, we can effectively engage and influence our body and our mind by bending, crossing, extending, and touching the fingers with other fingers. Incorporating hand mudras to your yoga practice or life is a simple tool to release stress and anxiety, to improve your memory and concentration, or to release old, draining, unhealthy thought patterns to help you heal and rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit.
Gabby will provide a brief history of mudras and then incorporate a mudra into a unique and fun vinyasa flow!
No previous experience is necessary; this workshop is open to all levels.
