Perhaps one of your goals for 2019 is to nail crow pose or handstand. Look no further, we’ve got the perfect workshop series for you! We all know that yoga has 8 limbs and only one of those limbs has to do with the physical postures. Although sometimes folks like to suggest that the asana are superficial – we beg to differ. Your body, mind and spirit are all connected and a physical pose can represent a deeper meaning. The physical poses can be expressions of joy, creativity, hope, strength and peace. In order to do something like handstand you’ve got to have a calm, quiet mind, inner strength, body awareness, control of your breath and much more.
Join Wonder Teacher Malissa Brennan for this special six session series. In each workshop Malissa will guide you through a short flow to warm up and then an anatomy focused break down of the poses talking about the major muscles groups that need to be activated. She’ll walk you through a few drills to activate the necessary muscles and build body awareness. She’ll instruct you into each key pose and offer various modifications followed by some additional strength building exercises. Take a well-deserved long savasana at the end!
