Yin Yoga Certification
December 6-8, 2019
with Shawn Cornelison
Join guest teacher Shawn Cornelison for a 16 hour Yin Yoga Certification. This weekend training is open to both yoga instructors and yoga enthusiasts. For current yoga instructors, Yoga Alliance CEU’s are available for this program. Yin yoga focuses on connective tissue (fascia), bones, ligaments and tendons by gently stressing and stretching these supportive structures to help maintain suppleness. Although we need the fascia, ligaments and tendons to help the body maintain its shape, they can become overly tight as we age, participate in strenuous forms of exercise such as running or more yang style yoga classes such as power and vinyasa. In this weekend training you will learn the theory behind yin practice, its benefits, how to teach a yin yoga class and how to include elements of yin in a yang yoga class. Teaching yin as part of a yang yoga classes will allow students to go deeper into their practice. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program.
