Our classes
What types of classes do you offer?
Our current schedule is available here. You can click the class names to see a description of the class. In addition, you can click on teacher’s name to learn a little more about them.
Arise:
Set the tone for your day with ARISE. ARISE is an all-levels Vinyasa yoga class. The sequences change from class to class but are all based on traditional yoga postures linked together by movement and breath. Each class consists of a combination of sun salutations and a variety of stretching, back bending, twisting and balancing poses. These poses are connected by dynamic movements and also include longer holds intended to build strength.
Thrive:
THRIVE is our signature all-levels Vinyasa yoga class designed to maximize the feel good vibes. Our intention is to help you feel better in your body, more balanced emotionally and clearer mentally. The sequences change from class to class but are all based on traditional yoga postures linked together by movement and breath. Each class consists of a combination of sun salutations and a variety of stretching, back bending, twisting and balancing poses. These poses are connected by dynamic movements and also include longer holds intended to build strength. We encourage a non-competitive environment that is open to beginners and advanced practitioners. This class is unheated with temperatures in the 70s.
Anchor:
Drop your ANCHOR and let the current carry you in this all levels Slow Flow vinyasa class. Blending the elements of yin and yang, this class moves at a pace that allows you to really connect, feel your body, work on proper alignment and pay attention to your breath. In ANCHOR you’ll experience a class taught as a meditation in motion and end with a restorative savasana. Occasionally this class will include Yoga Nidra – the yoga of sleep.
Sooth:
SPA Yoga is a slow, floor-based, whole-body experience. By engaging all five of the senses with soft candlelight, soothing music, aromatherapy, options for hands-on assists and a renewed awareness of taste (and sometimes chocolate!), SPA aligns practitioners with the inner wisdom of deep relaxation. The physical practice takes time to open the body’s subtle energy and prepares students to experience new depths of awareness in an extended, guided savasana. During SPA Yoga, you will discover a calming candle lit room, delightful scents and beautiful music in the background.
Barre:
Join Jaclyn in a 45-minute virtual barre class (no barre needed)! A great complement to a regular yoga practice, barre focuses on functional alignment and small movements that target one set of muscle groups at a time. Throughout the 45-minutes, we will emphasize strengthening the core, thighs, glutes, arms and back in a fun, efficient workout accessible to all fitness levels. Please have a set of light weights, a high backed chair and a small resistance band handy for class (no worries if you don’t have equipment, class can be enjoyed without.)
Foundations:
Welcome to our Foundations class, a slower pace than our signature Thrive class and focused on developing clear and safe alignment in foundational poses. Come to learn, play and maybe even break a sweat in a supportive environment. We encourage a non-competitive environment that is open to beginners and advanced practitioners. This class is unheated with temperatures in the 70s.
Calm:
CALM is a Yin Yoga class that invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing your body’s joints, ligaments, tendons and connective tissues. Yin is yoga at its deepest and quietest moments. Unlike our vinyasa flow (yang) classes, yin yoga is slower paced featuring 2-5 minute holds in each pose. These longer stretches mildly stress the joints and fascia allowing them to release. Yin is a floor-based practice that utilizes bolsters, blocks, straps and blankets (feel free to bring your own blanket to class). Yin will do WONDERS for your joint health, flexibility, circulation and mental focus. This is an awesome complement to your flow or power practice! This class is appropriate for all levels, including beginners.
Strength:
Combine our signature THRIVE Vinyasa class with hand weights and high-intensity cardio bursts to get your heart rate up and burn calories. In addition to a great workout, this class is designed to help you feel better in your body, more balanced emotionally and clearer mentally. The sequences change from class to class but are all based on traditional yoga postures linked together by movement and breath. Each class consists of a combination of sun salutations and a variety of stretching, back bending, twisting and balancing poses. 2-10 pound free weights are recommended for this class. Don’t have weights? Fill up two water bottles and use those! An upbeat playlist link will be sent to you in the Zoom chat box right before the class. No previous experience is necessary.
Breathe:
BREATHE is our signature all-levels Outdoor Vinyasa yoga class designed to maximize the feel good vibes.
Our outdoor classes are held at Lexington Community Farm located at 52 Lowell Street Lexington MA 02420. The farm stand is open during our class times so please park at on the cross streets Haskell Street or Litchfield Road. You will follow the path through the center of the farm to the gate by the red barns.
Restore:
RESTORE your inner peace, calm your mind and soothe your body in our Virtual Restorative yoga class. This class focuses on relaxation, renewal, effortlessness, and ease. Pillows, bolsters, blocks, blankets, and other props safely support the body and enable students to hold poses, stretch out sore muscles and renew from the inside out. We recommend that you have a pillow/bolster, a blanket and two blocks for this class. A strap is an added bonus! Soothe your nervous system, quiet your mind, and release deeply held tension. If you are recovering from illness or injury, want to balance a fast-paced, stressful life, or find openings in your body to assist in your Vinyasa practice, RESTORE can help. This class is appropriate for all levels, including beginners.
How long are your classes?
We offer a mix of 60 and 75 minute long classes every day. View our current yoga class schedule here.
Are your classes heated?
Practicing in a warm room allows you to warm up your muscles faster, which means you will be able to move into poses with less risk of injury. We encourage you to build heat from the inside out by using your breath and movement. If you ever feel overheated in class, please take a rest in child’s pose, sip some water, and then rejoin the class when you are ready.
