The Art of Assisting

February 22, 2018Wonder Yoga

The Art of Assisting is the second module in Wonder Yoga’s Continuing Education program for yoga teachers – Find Your Voice led by Nicole Siegel and Allison Jones. Join us for a 3 hour workshop designed to explore the different types of hands-on assists that you might give during a yoga class. We will go over how assisting your students might be different in different class styles such as vinyasa versus restorative. Discuss how assisting your students is an exchange of energy and how you can effectively manage your energy as the teacher. This workshop will have several components: theory, discussion and practice. We’ll cover the ethical issues surrounding hands-on assists and how they can be addressed. This workshop will include a yoga practice portion so that attendees can practice assisting while getting feedback from the student regarding the effectiveness of the assist.

Event price: $75
